I also started using gems +50% while material farming online. By waiting for Himiko to spawn, leaving her alone, then camping the 3 monster spawn, I'm getting about 70 crystals every half an hour. I've started playing the level "Gaia, Goddess of Earth" in chapter 7 on Pandemonium to crystal farm.
